Plastic injection mold design experience and ideas analysis
The first step: product analysis and modification, determine the mold structure, shrinkage diagram:
- Product analysis:
Opening direction, parting line and parting surface, outer dimensions, thickness, draft angle, barb and corresponding core pulling method, feeding point and feeding method, number of cavities, etc.
2, transfer engineering drawings:
Drawing in 3D software, three views are generally created: the first main view (the rear mold surface projection) and the second third stereo view (the outer surface and the inner surface). Other views are placed according to the third angle method or the first angle method, the sectional view (X and Y, the cut position line passes through the important position center, barb, column position, hole position, pillow position, etc.), save the file DXF format, to CAD opens the counting process.
3, shrinking map:
Mirror the previous drawing once and zoom in on a multiple of the shrinkage rate. (marked: MI, shrinkage rate)
The second step: product ranking: how to arrange in the mold
Considerations: length and width of the mold, number of holes in the product, position of the glue, spacing (strength, what parts are placed)
The first view in the first row is the front view of the rear mold side, and the second view is the front mold.
